Event description

Description

Mayor Chris Coleman has set a citywide goal that all City employees will go through a foundational course on racial equity by the end of 2017. The key learnings for this course include: 1) how race affects our lives; 2) bias and how to counteract it; and 3) ways to listen and talk about race. All employees will be asked to attend this session.

Training Details: Registration closes three (3) business days in advance of training due to catering purposes.

Lunch: We will take a lunch break at noon. If you typically eat lunch earlier, please bring a snack with you. Lunch will be provided at training. If you have any dietary restrictions, please send an email to RacialEquity@ci.stpaul.mn.us or call us at 651-266-8900.

If you are signing up your staff for these trainings, please make sure they receive this information. Staff must register with Eventbrite to ensure they are provided lunch. We cannot guarantee lunches will be available for walk-ins. Water fountains are available in the facility. Please bring a refillable water bottle with you so you can stay hydrated throughout the day. Please note that coffee will not be provided.

Training Materials: Training materials will be provided to you on the day of the training. There are no materials for you to review in advance. Please bring a pen.

You do not need to print off tickets for this training.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact RacialEquity@ci.stpaul.mn.us or 651-266-8900.
