Seminar Description

The role of a Nanny is one that requires you to wear many hats – primary caregiver, driver, counselor, artist, Lego architect, and evermore, house manager. With such a diverse role with often conflicting responsibilities, tasks, and to-do’s, it can be challenging to manage the aspects of your role that aren’t core.

In the world of nannying, every minute counts. And that makes it near impossible to focus on anything outside of what’s happening in the moment. There’s never a good time to step away to think about the bigger picture or the longer-term plan for our roles.

In this one-day intensive seminar, we’ll set aside our Nanny hat for the day and try a household management hat on for size as we explore key household management techniques to apply in our jobs.

Whether facets of household management are already part of your day-to-day, or your role is starting to shift in that direction, this professional development seminar is a crucial step for taking your role to the next level in a structured and thoughtful way.

Attendees will learn effective communication strategies, how to structure and approach a day of varied and often unpredictable tasks, how to problem solve and navigate difficult situations, and how to course correct when things don’t go as planned. Attendees will also discuss strategies to effectively grow and develop new and relevant skills in their role. Additionally, you’ll leave with some key tools to help incorporate household management approaches in your day-to-day.

The seminar will include real-life case studies and scenarios, roundtable discussions, lecture, role-playing, and practical hands-on exercises.

Seminar Goals and Objectives

By the end of the course, attendees will be able to:

  • Define the key factors that contribute to building strong working relationships with principals
