Come to Study Hall to develop and improve your ideas with other future and existing entrepreneurs. Think: Ultra-collaborative co-working. This Foster.ly Study Hall, co-hosted by Melanie Spring of Sisarina, has a women entrepreneur focus, which means if you're a woman building a company or are interested in throwing your proverbial hat in the ring, you'll be in good company.
If you are in the process of founding, or serve in the decision-making capacity at a startup or small business, this is the event for you. Limited to 50 women, Foster.ly's February Study Hall will be hosted at Womble Carlye's office in downtown DC.
OUR GOAL: To provide a collaborative environment with a diverse skill-set in the room, so please make sure you complete the form fields during registration. (We use your answers to curate an amazing mix of attendees.)
INTRODUCTIONS: One minute intros begin at 1pm
- state your name & business
- tell us about a project you're working on
- give us a challenge you need help with
By the time you leave, another attendee will be able to help you solve your challenge or be able to introduce you to someone that can. We've already confirmed a stellar group of subject matter experts (VC's, journalists, etc...), and anticipate this is going to be a fantastic afternoon.
Please remember that this event has a curated attendee list as we expect that registrations will exceed the room's capacity. We'll send out a status update the Thursday before the event to confirm your status.
ABOUT STUDY HALL
Brought to you by members of the DC, Maryland and Virginia community who share a desire to foster collaboration throughout the area's entrepreneurship ecosystem at large, Foster.ly's Study Hall is a collaborative co-working environment focused on enhancing community between its entrepreneurial members.
Attendees should expect to receive feedback and support from peers and experts, as long as they are willing to participate and lend their expertise to other participants in return. (Don't fret, you don't need to be tech focused to join.)
At 1:00pm we will do a single round of introductions where each attendee will be asked to state their name, what they're working on, and a challenge they need help with.
We'll provide the environment, drinks, coffee, wi-fi and a place to work and create. It's up to you to bring your computer (so you can get some work done), a willingness to collaborate, and your entrepreneurial spirit.
Please take note that Study Hall is *not* an event to pitch for funding.
