Learning Objectives

  • Starting from Day One: How to develop and maintain a partnership with the CEO

  • Managing differences: What happens when objectives are not in alignment

  • Beyond GAAP: What financial information do CEOs really care about

  • How to become the most trusted advisor to a CEO and the Board

About Our Speakers:

Gary Beasley, CEO and Co-Founder, Roofstock

Gary Beasley is the CEO and co-Founder of Roofstock, an online real estate marketplace targeting the $3 trillion single-family rental sector. Beasley has spent most of his career building businesses in the real estate, hospitality, and tech sectors. After earning his BA in economics from Northwestern, Beasley earned an MBA from Stanford, where he caught the entrepreneurial bug and still serves as a regular guest lecturer. Previously Gary was instrumental in acquiring and integrating more than $800 million of resort properties for KSL Resorts, and spent five years as CFO of online brokerage pioneer ZipRealty, which he led through its successful IPO in 2004. Immediately before starting Roofstock, Beasley led one of the largest single-family rental platforms in the U.S. through its IPO as co-CEO of Starwood Waypoint Residential Trust, now part of Invitation Homes (INVH).

Kevin had full P&L responsibility for Capgemini’s $100m advisory practice in the Western US, with a personal focus on developing sales, marketing and supply chain strategies for fast-growing companies in the SF Bay Area. Earlier in his career, Kevin spent 20 years at General Electric (during the Jack Welch era) as an operating executive in a $500M GE unit, which delivered consulting services and technology-based solutions to Fortune 500 companies.
