In this workshop, participants will gain an understanding of Childhood Grief including the physical, cognitive, emotinal and behavioral responses of grieving chidlren and teens who have experienced a death due to homicide, suicide, accident, natural disasters or sudden, unexpected deaths.
The Goals of this interactive workshop are to:
- Learn age-appropriate language to use when talking with children about death, including homicide and suicide
- Acquire practical intervention strategies to utilize with children and teens in agency, school and private practice settings.
Fostering Reslience meets the qualifactions for 6 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Science. Provider #PCE1465. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #CEP15119 for 6 contact hours.
