A difficulty about being a parent today is that everything changes so fast. Given the constantly changing impact of technology and social media, our own childhood experiences shed little light on what to do with our own children. This growing “generation gap” combined with the monumental physical and emotional changes that begin with puberty, make it more difficult to communicate, connect, and find commonalities with our tweens (ages 8 to 12) and teenagers. This lecture will focus on the importance of communication and the how to’s of communicating with your child and teen.
