FOSTERING ANIMALS 101 (Thurs., May 4, at 5:30pm)
Thu, May 4, 2017, 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM PDT
Got love to share? Fostering Animals 101 training (free)
Urgently needed: More cat/kitten foster volunteers at KingCounty’s animal shelter/ pet adoption center in Kent.
This is the best way you can help an abandoned, surrendered, or lost animal.
Your next step is to register for this Fostering Animals 101 training and to complete RASKC's fostering application here.
Fostering Animals 101 is usually offered twice a month to people who are interested in opening their heart and homes to animals from the animal shelter on a short-term basis. This training is for people who intend to foster several animals in the upcoming year.
Some kitties need a break from living in a kennel. They need some time away from the shelter to help them get adopted. Many kittens and puppies are too young to be adopted; they’re waiting to be big enough to be spayed/ neutered. Many adult cats with colds especially need a quiet sunlight patch to recover.
Foster volunteers are given great support from RASKC staff. They are also given free pet food, litter, litter box, other supplies, and medical care for the fostered pet.
(Note: There are not many opportunities to foster dogs or puppies from RASKC.)
p.s. Your printed ticket is not required to attend the class.
