Course Outline

A common complaint today is that highly skilled technology professionals are in short supply. How does your company rank amongst those people you are seeking to attract? What is your management team doing to foster the development of these key people, once they are on board? Recent research by organizations such as Gallup and Towers Perrin, as well as from prominent neuroscientists, shows that:

  • Engaged employees plan to stay for what they give; the Disengaged stay for what they get
  • Employees worldwide view opportunities to apply their talents, career development and training as top drivers of job satisfaction
  • 70% of engaged employees indicate they have a good understanding of how to meet customer needs; only 17% of non-engaged employees say the same
  • 75% of leaders have no engagement plan or strategy even though 90% say engagement impacts business success
  • Despite the economic recession, more employees are looking for opportunities outside of their organization than they were in 2008, suggesting that 2012 will be a challenging year for retention (and a hot market for firms to attract top talent)

This workshop incorporates this research with skill development – to help leaders and managers attract top technology talent by building an engaged, loyal and productive workforce.

At this workshop you will learn how to:

  • Identify strategies that your organization can implement to attract top talent
  • Discover how managers can improve business results by tapping employee potential
  • Create an inclusive corporate culture that rewards innovation
  • Understand and explore techniques for communicating with the generations in the workplace
  • Develop varying management strategies for employees with differing behavioral styles
  • Learn techniques for giving impactful performance feedback
  • Explore how to retain employees by capitalizing on their strengths and providing career development opportunities
  • Discover how employees can work together to maximize the growth of your organization
