Description

What is this programme about?

What is the most important asset in your organisation? In the face of rapid transformation of the economy and the much-anticipated disruption taking place, how do we ensure that our workforce is ever ready to embrace these challenges? How do we help our workforce to facilitate these challenges? While technology advancement will and continue to bring forth change and growth for the organisation, the organisation will also need to be more “human” and employee-centric in order to progress in tandem with the rapid transformation.

Approved as a “Singapore Learning Circles" project under the Lifelong Learning Council, the Foster Effective Workplace Mentoring learning circle addresses on an effective employee’s engagement model with a specific focus on developing growth and harnessing the potential of employees. While the framework for coaching has often been used to enhance performance gaps, mentoring in the millennial workforce requires committed, an accountable relationship between both the Mentor and the Mentee. To acquire the multi-competencies needed of the employee, the organisation will need to inspire, integrate employee’s potential, inculcate the values and build an organisational culture of learning. Foster Effective Workplace Mentoring will help employers and HR practitioners leverage on the Skills Frameworks to cultivate the values of Lifelong Learning as part of the employee’s growth and development. Foster Effective Workplace Mentoring will complement the organisation’s vision, mission, values and culture that forms today’s employees’ engagement for tomorrow’s employees’ experience.

Foster Effective Workplace Mentoring strives to build a community of practice that would act as a catalyst for change where an organisation can connect, collaborate and celebrate success together. We believe that as we embrace the challenges for tomorrow together, we should hold a new perspective towards transformation and disruption, and work towards a sustainable culture of sharing and learning.

Participants are required to bring along a fully charged laptop or tablet (not mobile phone) for an interactive digital facilitated learning experience.
