Do you know the Arizona Foster Care Bill of Rights?

About this Event

The Arizona Foster Care Bill of Rights guarantees certain protections to children, including knowing why they are in foster care, what will happen to them as a result of being in foster care, and what will happen to any siblings. Do you want to learn ways to enforce these rights in court? Join VOICES in welcoming Chief Counsel and Vice President of Gen Justice, Rebbeca Masterson, as she explains how her organization works to mend the child dependency system and bring a permanent end to foster children enduring maltreatment. Currently, Gen Justice’s bipartisan reforms are improving safety for more than 35,000 kids across the country and is looking to educate advocates on ways to help. In this educational opportunity, CASA volunteers will learn the logistics of Arizona dependency hearing processes and the roles - and the responsibilities - of those involved in a dependency case both in and out of the courtroom. Curious about what the law states regarding removal, placement, and severance of a child? This training also aims to educate CASA volunteers on the different legislation the impacts each. Bring your questions!
