Forum on the Road Visits the Presidio
Michael Krasny is joined on stage with veteran journalist James Fallows

2018 marks Michael Krasny’s 25th year as host of Forum. To celebrate the occasion Forum has been hosting a series of in-depth live broadcasts from across the Bay Area. On May 15, the Forum on the Road spring schedule closes with a special anniversary episode for Krasny at the historic Presidio Officer’s Club in San Francisco.

As part of the event, Krasny will be joined on stage by esteemed author and journalist James Fallows. Fallows is a national correspondent for The Atlantic and has written for the magazine since the late 1970s. He has reported extensively from outside the United States and once worked as President Carter's chief speechwriter. He is also known to public radio listeners through his commentaries on Morning Edition in the 1980s and 1990s, Weekend All Things Considered in the 2000s, and now on Marketplace. The author of several influential books, he and his wife Deborah Fallows are co-authors of the new book, Our Towns, which took them to small and mid-sized cities across America in a single-engine prop plane that they operated.

Doors open at 8:15AM

Funding for Forum is provided by the Germanacos Foundation, the Jenerosity Foundation, Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem, the Bernard Osher Foundation and members of KQED.
