The Hunts

Sibling band The Hunts released their debut album, entitled "Those Younger Days," on June 9th, 2015, via Cherrytree Records/Interscope. The band wrote all of the songs on the album, which was recorded in Virginia Beach, VA, not far from their hometown of Chesapeake, and executive produced by Chris Kuffner (A Great Big World, Ingrid Michaelson).

The first single from "Those Younger Days" is "Make This Leap" -- a lilting slice of folk-pop built on layered harmonies, intricately textured acoustic instrumentation, and lyrics that gracefully shift from melancholy to triumphant. The correlating video was shot in Chesapeake with a few moments filmed on the family's property and was directed by Michelle Peerali, who has collaborated with such artists as The Kills, The Cult, The Black Keys, Pyyramids, and Moby. "Make This Leap" is also included on the band's debut EP "Life Was Simple," which was released in August 2014.

The Hunts have been playing music together almost their entire lives. Ranging from ages 17 to 25, twin sisters Jenni and Jessi and their five brothers Josh, Jonathan, Jordan, Justin, and Jamison all learned to sing and play violin as young kids and spent much of their childhood performing throughout their community. After teaching themselves to play instruments like mandolin, piano, ukulele, banjo, and drums, The Hunts began experimenting with songwriting and soon brought to life a batch of songs that reveal their sophisticated sense of melody and dreamy innocence.

Alanna Boudreau

Alanna Boudreau is a woman richly gifted, both naturally and supernaturally. A writer, speaker, lyricist, pianist, and guitar player, she pushes beyond the pulse of things and into the very marrow of human experience, canvassing songs rich in melodic appeal and thematic telos. Her voice - which is agile, richly-toned, and refreshingly distinct - creates within the listener the same sense of attentiveness and receptivity inspired by the voice of an intimate friend, while simultaneously coming in contact with those areas of the mind and heart that are seldom agitated: the imagery she presents can disturb the oft-forgotten perimeter of one’s comfort zone.

Her debut EP, Hands in the Land, was released in 2012. It was followed by a full length album, Hints & Guesses, in 2014, after a vastly successful Kickstarter campaign: both releases were met with great enthusiasm and lead to three tours throughout the U.S., a tour through Israel, a set of concerts in the Rocky Mountains as part of a collaborative effort with One Billion Stories, and the SAMMY award for Best New Singer Songwriter in 2015.
