About this Event

Pasadena Photography Arts Presents | FORUM with Anne Wilkes Tucker

Join Anne Wilkes Tucker, curator emerita of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, as she explores the “contemplative photography-making” of Time & Place featuring the works of Mark Klett and Terry Evans.

Mark Klett and Terry Evans have photographed landscapes in engaging and inventive ways for forty years with Mark concentrating on the American West, particularly on the desert regions and Terry on the American prairies, particularly those in and near Kansas where she was born. The complexities of their photographs involve diverse technologies, different seasons and times of day during which they intentionally work, their individual knowledge about each place’s history and evolution, the artistic traditions that precedent them, and finally, and most critically, the aesthetic inquiries that drive their practice of art.
