Boulder County Parks and Open Space has worked at Heil Valley Ranch and Hall Ranch over the last few years thinning forests to decrease wildfire danger while restoring forest ecosystems. Volunteers will spread locally-collected native seed to re-vegetate disturbed areas such as roadsides and slash pile burn scars. There may also be some clean up work from the 2015 prescribed fire. This project may take place at Heil Valley Ranch or Hall Ranch. We will send you further details as we get closer to the actual project date.
