Forest Bathing with Sandy Wilson
Event Information
About this event
Join Sandy Wilson, Kripalu-certified and mindful outdoor guide on Sunday, March 6th at 1pm at the Pine Hollow Arboretum for a forest bathing experience. Sandy will guide our group to connect with nature, as we experience it through all of our senses, to appreciate the beauty that we often don’t notice when we are rushed or distracted. During this walk, we will be sauntering slowly. Followed by the walk will be a tea ceremony. Forest Bathing walks last about 2 hours. All ages are welcome. Suggested donation of $10/person.
Forest Bathing is a Japanese wellness practice that welcomes us to take in the forest atmosphere with all of our senses. Nature has the ability to calm, inspire, and restore us in all seasons - so let’s take some much-needed time to receive what is offered. Please remember to dress very warmly with layers and wear waterproof shoes as the Arboretum can get quite muddy. We won't be building up heat so think warm socks, boots, and all the non-cotton winter layers as we will be walking slowly. Bring a water bottle and a snack if you think you'll get hungry.
Please bring a mask with you. This will be an entirely outdoor program.
