Event description

Description

Join us at the US National Arboretum to experience forest bathing.

Forest bathing, or shinrin yoku, is the simple practice of taking in the woods through the senses for health benefits. The benefits are immense: boosted immunity, lowered blood pressure and heart rate, improved attention and mood, and hitting the reset button on life. The Japanese have enjoyed shinrin yoku for decades as a regular public health initiative.

Join certified nature and forest therapy guide Clare Kelley for an unforgettable experience in the National Arboretum, the crown jewel of DC’s wildspaces. In the two and a half-hour program, Clare will guide you through invitations: sensory and interactive experiences to reap the healing gifts of nature. Relax deeply, raise your mood, immune system, and sense of coherency. Reconnect with the earth’s beauty and wisdom.

Tickets are $35 (FONA Members get a discount)

No refunds unless cancelled by FONA. Ages 16 and up for this experience. No pets please.
