Description

The goal of this five-day short course is designed to familiarize participants with the forensic anthropologiy and forensic archaeology methods employed to effectively and efficiently recover victims from fatal fires. The course will include lectures focused on tissue and skeletal modifications created by fire and on state-of-the-art forensic archaeological recovery techniques. Participants will partake in a mock recovery of a burned vehicle fire using an animal proxy to gain experience in the search, documentation and recovery of fatal fire victims.

The class runs 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day and the course fee includes all materials. Please note: registrants will be contacted by the organizer for their T-shirt size.

What if I need housing?

What's the refund policy?

This $50 deposit of your $650 registration is non-refundable and will be applied to your total course fee. The remainder ($600) will be invoiced to you at the address provided. That invoiced portion of the fee may be refunded to you up to 30 days before the course begins.
