About this event

This is part of our 250-hour hands-on training Forensic Science Academy. 

Forensic Photography is a stand-alone module thus prior experience is not required. 

The module training dates are:

Saturday/Sunday July 9 and 10 (7 am to 3 pm)

Saturday/Sunday July 16 and 17 (7 am to 3 pm)

Please note: Saturday, June 16 is from 1pm to 9pm (nighttime class)

Course description

This hands-on training course teaches students the whys and hows of recording and documenting a crime scene and evidence via photography techniques. Basic concepts will be introduced as well as various specialized techniques forensic professionals use to capture crime scenes. This includes (but not limited to):

painting with light,

the use of photoshop,

the use of digital cameras, proper settings (during the day and night), and

how to eliminate shadows.

Course taught by forensic experts--Crime Scene Investigators.

All participants who successfully complete and pass the module will receive a certificate of completion.

It is recommended to bring a digital camera and a tripod but not required.

You should bring a digital camera and a tripod (if you have one) and a pen/paper for note-taking.
