FORECAST FOR NEW WORKS IN A NEW WORLD

What are the immediate and future plans regarding new plays in America’s Theatres?

Moderated by Brendan Bourque-Sheil

Featuring:

Elizabeth Frankel, Director of New Work - ˆAlley Theatre

Martine Kei Greene Rogers, Past President - LMDA

Polly Hubbard, Director of New Play Development - Steppenwolf Theatre Company

Jeremy B. Cohen, Producing Artistic Director, Playwrights' Center

The world pandemic shut down all of America's theatres. Now the return of in person performances seems within sight. So what is the thinking about new works within reopening plans for shuttered venues around the country? How has the pause impacted the approach to producing and the thinking of major theatre organizations? What can audiences expect and what might they respond to? These and many other questions will be posed by Landing Literary Associate Brendan Bourque-Sheil, to a panel of some of America's top producing organizations.
