Forecast Public Art Breakfast Fundraiser

About this event

Let us inspire you!

We're bringing people together to share the inside scoop on the groundbreaking work being done by Forecast Public Art. At this free morning event we'll dive into our new mission + vision and our plans for the future, both for Forecast and the field of public art.

In addition to our executive director Theresa Sweetland, you'll hear from Saint Paul council member Mitra Jalali, Minneapolis City Council President Andrea Jenkins, artist Thomasina Topbear, filmmaker James Curry, Bolton + Menk Principal Urban Planner Haila Maze, Director of Creative Placemaking for the City of Bloomington Alejandra Pelinka and other community leaders, practitioners, and artists about how we're centering justice, health, and human dignity throughout our work. More speakers to be announced.

You're welcome to join us virtually via livestream or in-person at Machine Shop in Minneapolis. Those joining in person can enjoy a coffee + pastries reception from 8:30-9 am CT prior to the start of the event program. The event program will run from 9-10 am CT for all attendees, in-person and virtual.

Those joining in-person will enjoy an augmented reality mural experience called Celestial Embodiment X, created by artist Missy Whiteman and co-produced with Darren Alexander Cole.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with artists, creatives, city planners, architects, designers, community leaders, philanthropists, and more.

Register today to let us know you plan to attend!

Forecast will reach out to registrants prior to the event with details on how to join virtually and parking/ venue information.

Your health and safety is a priority. We’re limiting the number of attendees in-person to 50% venue capacity. As of Monday, May 2, the Minneapolis Health Department strongly recommends wearing masks in indoor public spaces. If this is still in place the day of the event we will encourage in-person attendees at the event to wear masks when not eating or drinking.

To request accessibility accommodations, please email us at info@forecastpublicart.org.
