Mark your calendar for the US-China Business Council’s (USCBC) premier conference on China's business and political environment in the year ahead. This annual event features top China policy experts, strategic analysis, and business professionals to discuss key intelligence, top challenges and opportunities coming up for China operations and bilateral relations.

Experts in their fields with address:

  • Keynote Address: Deputy United States Trade Representative Jeffrey Gerrish will deliver the keynote address for Forecast 2020.
  • China's 2020 Economic Forecast: ​Our economic speaker, Henry McVey, Member & Head of Global Macro & Asset Allocation, CIO of KKR Balance Sheet, KKR, will share his thoughts and prospects for China's economy in 2020.
  • China's Business Landscape and Key Operating Challenges: Tony Chen, Partner, Jones Day; Erin Ennis, Senior Director, Global Public Policy, Dell Technologies; and Tim Fenton, Vice President, Global Government Relations, Thermo Fisher Scientific, will share their perspectives on opportunities and challenges facing American companies operating in China.
  • National Security Issues Affecting the Bilateral Commercial Relationship: Grayson Yeargin, Partner, Jones Day; Eileen Albanese, Director, Office of National Security and Technology Transfer Controls, Bureau of Industry and Security; and John Larkin, President, Larkin Trade International will discuss contemporary issues in the US-China trade and commercial relationship that are intertwined with national security concerns, including how these issues may affect business activities with China in the months and years to come.
  • China on the Hill—Congressional Perspectives on China: Congress is currently scrutinizing a broad spectrum of China-related issues, and there are more than 200 proposals to address the concerns of representatives and senators, many of which have implications for business. This panel will feature perspectives from Mayur Patel, International Trade Counsel, Senate Finance Committee, and Sally Laing, International Trade Counsel, Senate Finance Committee, regarding the 2020 legislative landscape​​​​​​​.
  • JUST ADDED - Implications of the Wuhan Coronavirus: Yanzhong Huang, Senior Fellow for Global Health, Council on Foreign Relations, will address the implications of the Wuhan coronavirus.
