Forbidden Library

The New York Times reported in January that “a fast-growing network of conservative groups is fueling a surge in book bans.” Why is this happening? What books are being challenged most today? Which groups are being targeted? We will explore these questions and examine how banning books affects children, education, politics and culture. Finally, we will look at how book banning threatens to undermine multiracial democracy.

Equity Intersection is an equity and justice education non-profit. We offer adult education courses on all elements of equity, including disability. We believe education is action.
