Event description

Description

'We don't need to reconnect to nature, we are nature.' Discover wholeness and health as Brigit Anna McNeil and Dartmoor's Daughter lead you on a journey across the open moor and into the woods along the river to explore Spring's edible offerings.

You will learn how to identify edible seasonal plants and leaves, seeds, flowers, and roots. And understand how to prepare them for cooking and eating or for potent medicines to nourish, strengthen or cleanse. We will make something simple as a taster together or share a wild tea. This will be determined by what we find on the day.

Brigit Anna McNeil is a professional forager, earth based herbalist, facilitator, nature connection guide and therapist. She takes people on a journey of reconnecting to their own nature and innate wisdom, inviting them into deeper relationship with life through immersion in and with the natural world.

Level: 2 out of 5. The pace will be gentle with many stops along the way but you will need to be agile enough to walk up and down a steep hill, over a few rocky sections, and some trees/branches to climb over/under in the woods.

What to bring/wear: Warm layers and waterproof jacket with trousers (no matter the weather forecast); sturdy walking shoes; packed lunch and drink; bag to take home any edibles in; and something to sit on.

Where to meet: TBD - we will advise you.

Price: £25 adults and £10 children under 16 years old. Pre-booking essential.

Cancellation Policy: The walk will go ahead come rain or shine. Sorry no refunds unless event is postponed or cancelled

Risk: No liability accepted for accidents or incidents.
