Event description

Description

Are you a current or upcoming female leader in your organization? Are you interested in making more of an impact within your organization? Female leaders have unique challenges in the workplace, and we often make unique mistakes that can undermine our credibility, communication effectiveness, and ultimately, our ability to achieve the outcomes we want. This workshop helps professional women find clarity in areas related to assertiveness, professional appearance, networking, finding mentors and more. Each participant will emerge with a greater understanding of her current professional "footprint" and how to increase her influence and impact to reach her professional goals.

  • Understand the current situation for women in the workforce, i.e., how business is different for women than for men
  • Discover some of your main credibility-robbing behaviors
  • Learn about implicit bias
  • Learn to identify your “why"
  • Begin to communicate assertively
  • Discover what it means to “learn in"
  • Identify mentors and sponsors within your sphere of influence

This course is cosponsored with the MSU Management Development Institute.
