Conversations is a series of events focused on open discussions on the changing new media landscape. Our events will feature panels with insights from the most respected news organizations, the newest disruptive publishers, and tech and media thought leaders. Through conversations, let's work to transform media together.
Our next event, "For Good or Evil: Design's Impact on Today's Political and Media Landscape," takes place at 6:00 PM on April 12.
In the new frontier of alternative facts and fake news, where is design's place? How can design thinkers and design-thining journalists create impact, emerge from the noise and combat disinformation? A panel including John Carlin, Cliff Kuang and Paula Murgia will discuss and debate these questions, as well as how we can better understand the implications of the things we create, and what lessons can already be learned in the wake of the 2016 election.
John Carlin (Co-Founder, Fame Currency; Co-Founder and President, Red Hot)
Cliff Kuang (Head of Digital Product, Fast Company)
Paula Murgia (Director, Insights and Innovation, Wunderman)
MODERATOR: Paul Kim (Creative Director, Digital Department, New York Daily News)
