For All the Feels is a series of 8 free arts workshops for and by lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer, questioning, two spirit, intersex, ace (and more!) youth within Toronto. We want to create low-key spaces for queer youth to come together and have fun, learn something, and make connections in the community.
Each workshop will be free, and will include food and tokens, be physically accessible and have ASL provided.
INDIGENOUS BEADING is our first workshop, hosted by Shane H.C.
On Saturday October 8th from 1pm to 3pm, come learn and practice your bead work with other two spirit youth and community members. We will be sharing skills, tips and stories. This space is both for folks who have never beaded before as well as longtime beaders - we've all got something to learn and share. You will have the option of building your own DIY loom, flat stitching, beading by hand or whatever you'd like to try!
Who is this workshop for?
Our first workshop is specifically for two spirit, trans, and queer First Nations, Métis, and Inuit folks.
Do I need to bring anything to this event?
Just yourself! Food, materials, and tokens will be provided.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
For us, youth means 26 and under. We will never check IDs.
What access features does the venue have?
2 Spirits has an elevator going up to the 2-Spirit's floor, and a ramp going down into the space itself. It is a scent conscious organization- perfumes and chemical fragrances are limited and medicines are used within the space. There is key access to single stall washrooms, and will have ASL interpretation available upon request.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Please email Tamar at email@example.com for any and all questions or accomodations
