THE DISASTER BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CONFERENCE - FOOTPRINT OF DISASTERS: Our Journey Continues

LIVE! And IN PERSON!

Confirmed Speakers and Topics:

  • Carly Posey is a national speaker and advocate for school safety. Two of her four children were inside Sandy Hook Elementary School. Carly's other two children were at the intermediate school in Newtown where they were in lockdown the entire school day. Today, as Mission Director for the "I Love U Guys" Foundation, Carly travels the country sharing her story to promote school safety and preparedness. Additionally, she will share how her journey continued after the Sandy Hook School shootings.
  • Dr. Damir Utrzan, a national expert in the field of trauma and addiction with the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. Dr. Utrzan will discuss the nexus of addiction and the trauma experiences from refugees, unsettling times, and disasters.
  • Dr. DaLene Forester, a national leader in EMDR training, residing in California, she is the Director of the Advanced Education Institute. She will help us better understand EMDR and the advancement of this powerful trauma intervention model.
  • Bill Brandt, Allina EMS and Tim Harris, Washington County Sheriff's Office, will discuss the advancement of Peer Support Programs in EMS & Law Enforcement and will discuss the relevance of Peer Support programs and the impact and challenges of these programs.
