MMC Theatre Production Workshop presents the musical Footloose with music by Tom Snow; lyrics by Dean Pitchford; stage adaptation by Dean Pitchford and Walter Bobbie, based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford; additional music by Eric Carmen, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Loggins and Jim Steinman. Footloose is the musical version of the 1984 hit film, and explores a universal theme of the young outsider coming of age in a town that resists the tides of change. Footloose celebrates dance as a means of vital expression to bridge the generation gap, build a stronger community, and be a catalyst for change. Footloose is performed by students in the Theatre Arts programs of the College with direction and choreography by Bethany Christine Elkin, musical direction by Justin Fischer, associate director/choreographer Roger Ellis, scenic design by Ray Recht, lighting design by by Christian Steckel, costume design by Sydney Maresca, and stage management by Colin Gallagher.
Tickets: General admission: $10; senior citizens & students with valid ID: $5; TDF vouchers accepted. Admission is free for MMC students, alumni, faculty, and staff with valid MMC ID card.
