Description

Walk with a Native Plant Master along easy trails. Discover the importance of our native plants to wildlife and humans.

Native Plant Masters are certified experts in Colorado's native flora. They are volunteers with a passion for plants and have received special training from Colorado State University Extension who then share that knowledge with the others. Join us for a walk through the wealth of native wildflowers, grasses, trees, and shrubs that Jefferson County has to offer.

Program Details:
Adults and youth ages 13 yrs+

You will meet the educator at the Meyer Ranch Park parking lot/trailhead (not up by the kiosk or restrooms.)

The group will make a ~1.5 mile loop of easy dirt trails of Lodgepole Lopp with frequent stops to see what is in bloom!

Wear sturdy hiking shoes, dress for the weather, and bring water, snacks, sunscreen, etc. as needed.
You may also want to bring pen & paper for taking notes.
