Get fit, learn the tricks of the game and help tackle breast cancer alongside former pro and college players, coaches and some of our strongest survivors! If you or someone you know has been impacted by this grave disease...if you'd like a fun workout without any pressure... if you could use a little lesson in football basics to keep you current on the couch on Sunday's... if you want to be THAT pee wee or high school mom .... THIS EVENT IS FOR YOU!
Like so many, we've been affected by Breast Cancer with four family members fighting the disease. This fight - paired with former pro football player and coach LaVar Glover's desire to expand the team concept beyond the field - led to the inception of Football 101 for Women three year's ago!
One Goal in Mind - Tackle the Big "C".
In 2013, we hosted 75 women and were able to benefit the KHN Women's Wellness Fund and a local semi-pro organization with more than $1200. Our goal this year is to more than double our attendance and contribution for two local organizations. Proceeds for this year's event benefit local organizations Pink Ribbon Girls and No More Pain, LLC, both that provide education and support services for women impacted by breast cancer every day.
