FoodTrekking Expo (consumer event) is a one-day show taking place on Sunday, April 2 for foodies interested in travel. Come taste, explore and learn about new food experiences and travel destinations. Approx. 3000 consumers are expected for the expo.
FoodTrekking World (trade event) is the Association's flagship international event taking place on Saturday APril 1 (city tours), Sunday night April 2 (opening reception) and Monday-Tuesday April 3-4 (trade conference). FoodTrekking World is different from other culinary tourism/ food tourism/ wine tourism events because it is where business gets done! The core attraction of FoodTrekking World is two days of prearranged business to business matchmaking appointments. And as you would expect, there is also world-class education from industry leaders and plenty of fun and memorable networking events where you can sample the host destination’s food and drink. FoodTrekking World is for:
Food, beverage, travel and hospitality industry professionals, especially those engaged in marketing, sales, product development, meetings/conventions (MICE), strategy and operations
Food/beverage tour operators and suppliers
Marketing, PR, advertising professionals
Academics and researchers looking for inspiration about new ideas and trends in the industry
Association paid members and ambassador members please check the online community for your discount codes to apply to registration and/or an exhibition booth. Paid member status must be current and in good standing during the event or the regular price applies. Discounts not applicable to the consumer show admission or pre/post tours, if offered. Oregon is a tax-free state (i.e. no tax is payable). If you require an invoice to pay by check or wire transfer, please contact us for instructions.
What is the refund policy?
Full refund less US$100 cancellation fee up to 60 calendar days before event. Cancellations 30 to 59 calendar days before event are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations 29 or fewer days before event are non-refundable. If you cannot attend and you have already paid for your registration, consider making a delegate name change for US$50 per change (no other penalties payable on name changes only).
How many meetings are included in the business to business appointment sessions?
Meetings last 9 minutes each. The amount of time blocked for meetings will afford all delegates up to 30 total meetings over both days.
How many people/companies can we have in one exhibitor booth?
One person from each of 2 companies. Conference registration not required to exhibit, but every individual must have his/her own conference registration to attend the conference (education sessions, networking, meals, coffee breaks). Sorry but we cannot coordinate split payments for 2 booth staffers, so please coordinate sharing the payment payment yourselves.
How do I inquire about volunteering for FoodTrekking World?
A limited number of volunteer positions are available for qualified individuals. Our general rule is 1 hour off for every hour worked.
