Food To Set the Soul On Fire!
So much of our lives revolves around food and we have gotten very good at indulging! But how much do we really savor what we eat? And what about preparing that lovely food? We believe it’s a sensual (and sensory) experience not to be missed or sidelined. We eat to comfort, to find communion with others, to nourish and to recollect. Remember your grandmother’s fine pies? Or that satisfying spoonful of chocolate pudding that your mother prepared? Food and writing naturally go together, you see.
Feet to the Fire Writers’ Workshops™ is pairing up with Rhona Bowles Kamar, Chef and Writer, to bring you a lively, special food writing workshop that will have your hands in the kitchen (a wonderful test kitchen) and your mind digging around to write inspired food stories. This is an EXPERIENTIAL workshop! We love to try new adventures and we know this will be fabulous! Just like creating a special dish…all the ingredients combine to make it a memorable workshop where you create, connect and come alive through the senses!
Rhona Bowles Kamar
This workshop is designed for any curious soul –whether you’re a novice cook or a dedicated foodie - who is willing to both a) learn how to prepare a new dish (Rhona’s Spiced Chocolate Mousse) from scratch and b) be prompted by Angela Burton, Founder and Chief Writing Motivator, in a guided inspirational writing exercise that captures your experience, your senses, your memories. You will walk away with your palette satisfied and your soul nourished. Learning something new is a gift to yourself that no one can ever take away from you and let’s face it, it’s the experiences in life we remember best!
