  • Yanniv Dorone, Investor, AgFunder; PhD Candidate, Department of Plant Biology, Stanford University; 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30: Science & Healthcare Europe List

    Yanniv Dorone is an Investor at AgFunder. As part of the investment team, he is responsible for sourcing foodtech and agtech deals as well as performing due diligence on select investment opportunities. In parallel, he is finishing his PhD at Stanford University, where he studies how seeds sense water during germination. Before that, he worked on multiple research projects spanning different areas of plant biology at Harvard University, the University of Cambridge, and at the Weizmann Institute of Science. His work earned him two prestigious fellowships at Stanford, and he was selected as an American Society of Plant Biologists scholar. In 2019, Yanniv made the Forbes 30 Under 30: Science and Healthcare Europe list.

    Yanniv holds a B.S. and M.S. in Biology from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, to which he was admitted with the highly competitive “Normalien” fellowship. He was also part of Stanford’s accelerator program, Cardinal Ventures, and was selected to participate in the Ignite program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

  • Alex Kopelyan - Program Director & Partner, IndieBio/SOSV; Mentor, TERRA Food & Ag Accelerator; Entrepreneurship Advisor, Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University; PharmD, University of Iowa.

    Alex is Program Director and Partner at IndieBio, where they fund scientific entrepreneurs working to solve global problems with biology. Companies span the future of food and ag, therapeutics and healthcare, consumer bio, computational bio, regenerative medicine, neurotech, and more.

  • Anna Cho, Moderator - Founder, CEO, Posterity Foods. Investor, Ostara Capital. BA, Stanford University.

    Anna Cho is Founder and CEO of Posterity Foods, focused on future generation food products. Prior to Posterity Foods and her forays in other frontier tech (AR, CV/AI, Blockchain), she was a professional investor in the capital markets. She founded Ostara Capital, a blended value/growth hedge fund with a special emphasis on mid-cap publicly traded companies. She started her career in investment banking and private equity after graduating from Stanford.
