
Food Sovereignty Symposium & Festival
Description
The Food Sovereignty Symposium and Festival will be held March 10-12 on the University of Wisconsin campus and surrounding sites in Madison, Wisconsin, with additional related events throughout that week. The symposium component of event is focusing on Indigenous and broader topics of food sovereignty that impact how communities and individuals control and manage their food systems. The festival component is a celebration of Indigenous, local, and regional foods.
Tickets are required for 1) Thursday night's pop-dinner at Robinia Courtyard, 2) Friday's Fish Fry, and 3) Saturday's Indigenous foods brunch and dinner. See website (food-sovereignty.com) for more event information. Students (with ID) are eligible for a 50% ticket discount.
