HOME FOOD PRESERVATION SERIES Kicking Off this Wednesday!

CCE Madison Ag Center, Morrisville, NY starting September 27, 2017- FOUR PART SERIES focusing on effective ways to preserve your own harvest or locally grown purchases. Each session is held once a month on Wednesdays from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. The schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, September 27th, 2017 from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

  • High Acid Canning Demonstration (tomatoes), with group discussion

Wednesday, October 25th, 2017 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

  • Homemade Cheesemaking (Feta Cheese) Demonstration, with group discussion

Wednesday, November 8th, 2017 from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

  • Jam Making Demonstration with group discussion

Wednesday, December 13th, 2017 from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

  • Low Acid Canning Demonstration (beans and/or carrots) with group discussion

Cost: Each session costs $10.00 with a $35.00 registration price if you register for all four at one time. No online payment - pay at event.

Preserving food serves as another method to taste harvest-fresh food at a later date. The sessions will ensure that the products you create are served safe and guidelines are taught for easy to follow steps and methods. Each session is a hands on demonstrations and group discussion based.
