Food Not Fear: A Fundraiser for the International Refugee Assistance Projec...
A Charity Night in Support of the International Refugee Assistance Project
Tickets include food from the chefs of Egg, Franny's, Txikito, White Gold, and Oxalis and assorted beverages from the bar. 100% of proceeds will be donated to the International Refugee Assistance Project.
Immigrants play an important role at every level of our entire food system, producing the food that nourishes our country. Inside of restaurants, people from around the world work together in close quarters, sharing meals, laughs, and even the challenges of the service industry. As restaurants with a diversity of staff who we consider to be part of our families, we feel compelled to stand up against recent actions.
The current administration’s views and actions towards refugees and immigrants are immoral and fundamentally un-American. In this troubling time, it is critical to support lawyers that champion the rights of immigrants. The International Refugee Assistance Project mobilizes direct legal aid and systemic policy advocacy to serve the world’s most persecuted individuals.
On February 15th from 8-11pm, Brooklyn’s Egg will be hosting a charity night featuring canapés, cocktails and a silent auction.
Tickets are available for $75 and include an assortment of beverages and canapés from each of the participating chefs. 100% of proceeds will be donated to the International Refugee Assistance Project, who leverages every $1 donated into $10 of legal assistance.
