About this Event

Cabarrus County Farm and Food Council (CCFFC), Cabarrus Health Alliance (CHA), and Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (RCCC) are excited to announce that Chef Mark Allison will present part II of Food is Medicine, the story of how whole foods helped his family through two chronic illnesses: diabetes and cancer. By incorporating a whole food approach to eating, and adding exercise and positive thinking in their daily lives, his family changed their health. Attendees will learn about the following:

  • Simple steps to improve your eating habits
  • Basic cooking techniques
  • Exercise modification
  • Use of positive thinking to change response to illness

You do not need to have attended Part I to participate in Part II. New recipes will be shared in Part II. The event is at no charge; however, registration is required and space is limited due to food preparation and sampling.

Details: Thursday, November 7 from 6 to 7:30 pm

Location: CHA, 300 Mooresville Rd., Kannapolis
