Event Details

This registration is to attend the in person the basic food handler's course required by the Platte County Health Department.  This course takes approximately 2 hours and ends with an exam.  Upon successful completion of the exam you will recieve Platte County Food Handler's Card.  

If you arrive more than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time you will not be allowed to attend the class and you will need to re-schedule.  Call 816-858-2412 to make arrangements. 



Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Yes, you will need a photo ID. 

 What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Please park on the lowest parking level by the Parkville Nature Sanctuary.  We highly encourage carpooling due to limited parking availability.  We do have handicapped parking located by the conference center.  


What can/can't I bring to the event?

Please bring a photo ID.  You will have your picture taken, so please be prepared.  


Where can I contact the organizer with any questions? 

Can I update my registration information?

Yes, you may send another person in your place, but they must bring the ticket or reciept with them to class. 


Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Yes or you may show a reciept or show confirmation on your phone.  


What is the refund policy?

Registration is non-refundable.  Late arrivals or no shows can reschedule for the next class.

Each day at the Platte County Health Department, we work to keep you and your family healthy. This is achieved through our immunization clinics, innovative programs for women and children, community outreach programs and disease prevention. 

The Platte County Health Department offers Primary Care to citizens who are on Medicaid or MC+, underinsured or have no health insurance coverage. Same-day appointments are available for common illnesses, such as respiratory infections and influenza. Women’s Healthcare services, such as birth control, STD testing, well woman exams and breast exams are also available. 

The Walk-in Clinics provide a wide range of childhood and adult immunizations, screenings, testing,treatment and other services.

The professionals at the Platte County Health Department are expert resources in Women’s Health, Emergency Planning, Environmental Health, WIC, Nutrition, Health Education and Social Work Services.
