2 DAY SEMINAR

Sunday, November 10 — 5:00pm (Welcome Reception)
Monday, November 11 — 8:30am - 6:30pm
Tuesday, November 12 — 8:30am - 5:00pm

Foodhalls, public markets and related multi-concept food retail establishments are re-energizing commercial and retail projects around the country. Among the oldest and most successful of these types of projects are the Ferry Building Marketplace in San Francisco (17 years ), and the Oxbow Public Market in Napa (10 years).

Steve Carlin, the Project Manager for the development of the Ferry Building Marketplace, developer of the Oxbow Public Market in Napa, and founder and President of the Carlin Company will be sharing his insights on planning, designing, merchandising, tenanting, opening, and managing a successful project. This small group (maximum 75 attendee) seminar presented by Steve and his partner in the Carlin Company, Lloyd Llewelyn, will provide critical information and guidance to help you understand how to make a project a special and successful customer draw, while satisfying your financial and long-range value creation expectations.

Designed for property owners, real estate developers and brokers/agents, civic planners, hospitality operators, and design and retail professionals, the seminar will focus on a triple bottom line approach that includes understanding how to create a strong profit center, support vendor-quality and the local food chain (which we believe contributes to long-term stability), and of course, build a successful customer community around your project. From evaluating the potential of a particular location, through market design, licensing, tenanting, to operational oversight and day-to-day management, we can help you create a successful, sustainable food hall that has the power to change the dynamics of your real estate and activate or re-energize the community around it.
