Mother Jones and Food Tank Present: Can We Afford to Eat? An evening with Chef Alice Waters, farmer and entrepreneur Paul Willis, and other food doers

Join Mother Jones and Food Tank for an extraordinary evening of conversation about access, affordability, and equity in the food system. Live from San Francisco’s SFJAZZ Center, national investigative news organization Mother Jones and Food Tank, America’s fastest-growing nonprofit organization in food and agriculture, will convene some of today’s top leaders in food—from chefs and restaurateurs to local officials and advocates who are changing what’s on our plates.

Speakers include (alphabetical): Tanya Holland (Brown Sugar Kitchen), Leigh Gaymon-Jones (Castanea Fellowship), Danielle Nierenberg (Food Tank), Justin Phillips (San Francisco Chronicle), Tom Philpott (Mother Jones), Alice Waters (The Edible Schoolyard Project), Paul Willis (Niman Ranch), with some incredible surprise guests to be announced!
