As part of Kickstart Your Health Little Rock (www.kickstartlittlerock.org), your certified Food For Life instructor Christie Beck, M.D., will showcase the best foods for weight loss and weight management in this six-class course.
Designed to support the 21 day Vegan Kickstart that begins February 1st, you will learn about health topics including blood pressure and digestion, and get empowered with practical cooking skills to help you on your journey to better health.
The Food for Life: Kickstart Your Health classes can help one lose weight, maintain a healthy weight, or simply embrace an overall healthful diet. For some class participants, it's the first time the idea of not restricting amounts of foods but rather choosing the right foods has been the guiding principle for losing weight and staying healthy. Lower cholesterol, better diabetes control, lower blood pressure, as well as improvements in energy and mood are some of the many benefits people experience on this Kickstart to better health.
In our classes, attendees do all of this while enjoying a cooking demonstration and tasting delicious, healthful dishes in a supportive group setting.
***Attendees must select a ticket each week individually to reserve their space in this limited seating class. (see below)
The series is best attended in sequential order, but each class offers a piece of the plant-based eating puzzle that may be appreciated independently.
