You may know of HIAS’ role is helping Jewish immigrants settle in the United States. Are you aware that in the 21st century, HIAS has expanded to help immigrants regardless of their country of origin or religious affiliation? Chelsey Berlin, HIAS Director of Community Engagement for Greater Washington DC, will discuss the organization’s work and how it has evolved, as their focus has broadened to serving immigrants from many different backgrounds and cultures. There will be ample time for Q and A.
