Acoustic Den presents an evening showcase of two home grown folk-pop duos playing delightfuly catchy all original tunes. Starting off the line up is Natalie Cortez (of Natalie Cortez and the Ultra Violets) playing guitar and singing with her signature vocal style. Sacramento News and Review describes her as “Adept at performing everything from quirky pop songs and soft country to rock & roll. Holding it all together is strong songwriting and a sense of history and tradition." Cortez is a multi Sacramento Area Music Award winner and is in the SAMMIE hall of fame. Up next is According to Bazooka who was recently featured on Listen Up Sacramento and a regular on the Sacramento scene. Songwriters Richard Urbino and Rene Martucci write Americana pop tunes performed with a an unusual combination of guitar, accordion, and male and female vocals. It's a style all there own. Joshua Gutierrez , Daily Democrat, writes "With a blend of rock-a-billy rhythm, country-blues guitar solos and pop vocal harmonies, According to Bazooka is truly unique." Cortez and Bazooka have connections with Sacramento producer David Houston and Moon Studio. David produced Natalie’s album “Twitch" and is currently working with Urbino and Martucci on their newest album to be released this summer.
