Focus Inside: Gong and sound meditation workshop
Event Information
Description
Focus Inside is a unique pop-up event that explores our relationships with our devices and how they are changing us. The project is supported by Westminster Council and Create Church Street Fund and is part of Focus Inside mindful tech festival (see more info and full program at www.focus-inside.com/program).
We close the day with a powerful gong sound meditation that helps you reconnect with yourself from The Mystery School of Sound.
Come to a performance of wonderful sound journey where you travel through your own inner landscape. A performance that puts you into a deep meditational state that will enable you to totally relax, de-stress and heal mentally & physically.
Mark & Paul Cummings are Gong performers who work together to bring you a sonorous experience. Here's what to expect at their workshop:
"Firstly we provide an introduction and opening to our healing practices as well as imparting some knowledge about the seven hermetic universal principles. These are in direct correlation to the Kybalion Ancient Wisdom Schools teaching.
We start by offering a guided meditation to relax you and put you into the perfect state to be receptive to the performance.
We encourage you to self heal with a simple set of instructions and preparation for your journey. The healing process will start with scanning the body and feeling for sensations discomforts and focusing parts of your body you already know that need working on.
We indicate when the performance will start and when it will end and we will put you in the best place to maximise your inner journey. The performance it self last up to one hour and has seven parts. Played with five large gongs by two performers.
There will be a final discussion about your experience."
Feel free to bring a mat if you want to lie down to relax.
The workshop is free, but we kindly accept donations helping the musicians transport gongs to the venue. Limited spaces, advanced registration or free access to day pass holders.
