About this event
Get paid $40 for sharing your opinions about social media use during crises and disasters such as hurricanes and floods. We want to hear from Public Affairs Officers and those who use social media for communication or media relations.
We are asking for 2 hours of your time for a focus group discussion. You will be compensated $40 for your participation via an Amazon gift card.
This study does not require expert knowledge but seeks your opinion regarding social media and misinformation (such as the spread of rumors during a crisis). We are approved by the Institutional Review Board of USC and will protect your confidentiality/identity. But because this group is for public affairs professionals, you may see colleagues or associates, or even a friend you could catch up with as we convene! Room 316 School of Journalism, Dec. 13 at 5 pm. Ample street parking is just outside the building. We look forward to hearing about your experience!
Our research is funded by the National Science Foundation and USC's Artificial Intelligence Institute.
