Event description

Description

This course has been developed as a strategic effort to reduce injuries and raise awareness to workplace hazards and injuries that OSHA refers to as the “Focus Four Hazards”. The Focus Four Hazards, according to OSHA, are commonly related to falls, being caught in-between something, being struck by something, and electrocutions.

This class will review examples of the four hazards that consistently grab OSHA’s attention and that OSHA focuses on regularly. We will address and look at experiences found in common workplace activities and identify examples of associated hazards found in various work environments.

As a class, we will also discuss how to identify these four main types of hazards and how to effectively mitigate or eliminate those kinds of hazards through proactive approaches and through behavior modification. This course will also share examples and incorporate practical methods used to implement significant safety and training programs in even the smallest of businesses and offer ideas for implementing successful and practical training programs.
