Nancy Ancrum, Executive Editor, The Miami Herald is moderating panel #1: The Hungry Black Man; Multiple Emmy-award winner, Patrica San Pedro, Frost School of Music; Chetachi Egwu, PhD, MediaScope; Jill Tracy, HOT 105, FMU Alum and Burnadette Norris Weeks, Esq., Women of Color Empowerment Institute #2 panel: Multiple Emmy-Award Winner, Jawan Stader, NBC6, moderator with special guest, Yvette Miley, NBC MSNBC National Executive; Karen Rundlet, Journalism Director; The Knight Foundation; Matthew Beatty, Director of Communications and Marketing, The Miami Community Foundation. Lalabella, winner of the Kevin Hart UNCF scholarship and viola poet will be featured along with FMUs Media Award Winners: Yvette Harris, Bernadette Morris and Suzanne McDowell. The Miami Times and SF Times will also be honored. The event starts promptly at 5:45pm and ends at 9 pm. #fmumindfulmedia is free but you must register to attend.

The reception starts at 6pm with tasty savory bites and and networking opportunities. Doors open promptly at 6:45p.m. The discussion ends at 8:30 and guests can enjoy a dessert bar and entertainment before heading home.
