Description

Flying High Music will be hosting a weekend of live music, learning, and self-discovery in beautiful Napa Valley, California, at Enchanted Hills Camp, Thursday, September 19 through Sunday, September 22, 2019. This will be a laid back, informal gathering of musicians, non-musicians and music lovers alike, all in a beautiful natural setting. ALL music styles, ALL levels, ALL instruments and ALL music lovers welcome! It is not required to be a musician to attend. Come join the festivities!

All activities and workshops will be conducted in a group setting allowing for maximum interaction between participants. BRING YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT. 18+ only.

Price of $290 per person includes:

Flying High Music’s mission is to foster CONNECTION with our HIGHER SELF through playing, sharing, and exploring MUSIC in NATURAL SETTINGS.

John Messier, drummer extraordinaire, will be on-site all day Friday and Saturday providing drum tips for playing with other musicians and improving your overall rhythm and tempo. For individual and group drum lessons at the event, included in the price, contact John directly at john_messier@hotmail.com

Marco Torresi will be on-site during the entire event sharing his blues harmonica tricks. He’ll show you the most efficient and fun ways to practice for playing pop, rock and blues with other musicians. Please bring your own harmonica in the key of C. He recommends Hohner Special 20 harmonicas. Before you come, he recommends listening to Little Walter playing with Muddy Waters, as that is his biggest influence.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

18+ only.

Do I have to be a musician to attend?

All musicians and music lovers are welcome. If you do not play an instrument, that’s ok, come hang out, enjoy the campgrounds, the jam sessions and live performances. You’re also welcome to attend the workshops, even as non-musicians and beginners to see what this magic of music is all about!

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

You are responsible for your own transportation. There is plenty of free overnight parking at the camp.

What can I bring into the event?

You can bring anything you’ll need for a three day camping weekend. Cottages, which are included in the price, are equipped with beds and linens. If you want to bring a tent and camp out you are welcome to find a spot around the campground and also have the option to use the newly built camping tents, further from main camp, equipped with bunk beds, mattresses and no linens. Three meals a day are included in the price. Bring your own alcohol, snacks and specialty items.
