Event description

Description

Have you always wanted to learn how to fly fish? Now is your chance! Join Jeff "Bear" Andrews and the Michigan History Center for a Fly-Casting workshop that will teach the basics of fly-casting - and give you plenty of time to practice, of course! Pre-registration is required and all materials will be provided. This workshop is open to adults and children ages 10+. Children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult who is also registered for the class.

About the teacher: Jeff "Bear" Andrews regularly teaches fly tying classes and demonstrations throughout the United States. His talent has been showcased internationally at the Danish Fly Fair in Copenhagen, the Dutch Fly Fair in the Netherlands and at the Chatsworth Angling Fair in England. In 1999, Bear produced three fly tying instructional videos which are currently available on DVD, including “Best of the Bear Steelhead”, “Best of the Bear Steelhead II” and “Best of the Bear Tying Traditions”. More than two thousand copies have been sold to date. In 2000, Umpqua Feather Merchants began commercial producing more than 65 of Bear’s original fly patterns through their Fly Tyer’s Royalty Program. Learn more at www.jeffbearandrews.com
