Through our hands-on programs, volunteers discover the wonders of nature, explore ecological interconnections, practice appropriate land stewardship, and master sustainable agriculture techniques. Our farm provides the freshest possible organic vegetables and herbs for hundreds of folks from Summerfield and beyond each year. At Summerfield Farms, volunteers come together with staff to grow and enjoy fresh organic food, acquire sustainable living skills, support local agriculture, enjoy nature, make new friends and build community. Volunteers can assist with a variety of farm tasks such as planting, harvesting, and weeding.

Flower Power

Come out to The Garden to help plant our sunflowers, zinnias, and poppies! Garden volunteers come together with staff to grow and enjoy fresh organic food, acquire sustainable living skills, support local agriculture, enjoy nature, make new friends, and build community. We welcome volunteers ages 5 & up. Ages 5-17 must be accompanied by a parent. Registration is required.
